Aalsmeer Flower Auction, NL

These are just some of the over 20 MILLION flowers and plants that move through the Aalsmeer Flower Auction on a  daily basis.  Flower from all over the world are flown here (just outside of Amsterdam), auctioned off to the highest bidder, and flown right back out again to their ultimate destination.  This auction house covers over nine football fields, and hundreds of thousands of workers and hundreds of carts move the flora around.  It's a Dam cool place!

Mariposa Grove

This is the "Faithful Couple" in the Mariposa Grove, part of Yosemite National Park in California.  These two Giant Sequoia trees have grown so close together that their trunks have actually merged.  The Grove was discovered in 1857 by Galen Clark, and is the largest area of Giant Sequoia trees in the Park.  Two of the Park's trees are among the largest 25 in the world.  They are spectacular.
