Uisce
Uisce, or "water" in Irish. Water is a very important component of the distilled and brewed beverages in Ireland. The phrase "uisce beatha" (pronouced "ishka baha") means "water of life" and is what the Irish call whiskey. It's also crucial to the Guinness beer brewery. Giant Steps
Giants' Causeway, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
I chose this place for our group to visit for several reasons- it's a famous natural landmark... but more importantly, my paternal grandfather visited her during World War II. He died before I was born, but I have his photos. It was an awesome experience to stand where he had and have a similar experience. Amazing.
